Mr McCormick is a Finance and Management specialist and has extensive teaching experience at all levels of the education system including Early Child Development, Secondary, post secondary and tertiary levels. He received a University of Wales Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2004 at University of Wales, Bangor, Gwynedd (UK), a University of Malawi Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degree from The UNIMA Polytechnic in Blantyre of 1997. In addition, Allan McCormick has also had farther professional training in Finance and Development (MEFMI, Gaberone), Auditing & Fraud Management (ESAMI, Njiro Hill, Tanzania), MS Office Diploma at The National College of Information and Technology(NICE) in Lilongwe, Malawi.

Mr McCormick’s work experience includes his current Academic Deanship at JU, former Dean of The NCU, Academic Head at Pentecostal Life University (PLU), Skyway University and Shareworld University. He has also doubled as Careers Director and teacher of Classical Greek, teacher of Latin, and French, teacher of Business Studies & Economics at Kamuzu Academy, The Eton of Africa. Mr. McCormick is a versatile professional with uncommon skills ranging from Finance, Management and Development and Linguistics.
Mr McCormick’s research interests include: Risk Management, Strategic Management, Development, Industrial Re-organisation and Linguistics. Mr. McCormick is a seasoned professional in higher education policy development and management, leadership, curriculum development and implementation.
Mr. Allan McCormick led curriculum development and establishment of some reputable tertiary institutions in Malawi including Jubilee University, Shareworld University, NCU and Skyway University to mention a few.
